In order to showcase your home in the best possible way, here are some tips for your
homeowners to prepare their home.
General: Remove clutter throughout your home.
If you do not feel comfortable with family photographs being in the virutal tour and photos, please take them down prior to the shoot.
Kitchens: Remove magnets from the refrigerator and clutter from countertops (includes
soap, towels, and wash clothes). Remove garbage cans.
Bedrooms: Remove personal items you do not want photographed. Have beds neatly
made and make sure night tables are free of personal items, Kleenex, etc.
Bathrooms: Remove all toiletry items from countertops and shower stall. Hang fresh
towels, put toilet seat down. Remove clothes, hampers, appliances and toothbrushes.
Lights: All lights and lamps should be turned on with drapes opened.
Pets: Please put your pets in a safe place, like the garage or their cage for the photo
shoot. You should remove pet cages from main living areas before the photo shoot so
they won't appear in the photos.
Outside: Clear your lawn and deck of tools, toys, and other outdoor items. Trim the lawn
as needed. Clean pools and patio furniture. Remove your car from the driveway. Remove garbage cans so they cannot be seen from the street.
NOTE: Photographers will not move items, so be sure to have someone there to move
things as needed.
